The company was founded in 1988 and is the result of a merger between the companies Gabler & Partner AS and Wassum Investment Consulting AS in 2008. Gabler Wassum has 57 employees and offices in Oslo, Bergen, and Kristiansand.
The company is owned by its employees and Wassum AB. Gabler Wassum has a genuinely independent position in relation to all the major players in pension insurance and investment management and we receive no commission from investment management or life insurance companies.
Our employers are pension funds, local authorities, foundations, enterprises and financial institutions.
Gabler Wassum's customers include more than 35 pension funds and our customers' pension obligations are worth more than NOK 23 billion. More than 12,000 employees receive their pension via our administration systems.
Approximately 40 customers use Gabler Wassum's investment consultancy business. Through running follow-up agreements and deposit services, more than NOK 16 billion is invested through Norwegian and international investment managers.
Our primary products are turnkey pension funds, which give access to the best of our combined services. Our pension, actuary and investment services can also be contracted separately.

The most common reasons for having a pension fund are being able to appoint investment managers you trust, directly undertake allocations in different classes of assets and monitor returns risk and insurance risk yourself. Gabler Wassum can set up and run pension funds where the enterprise or local authority selects which parts of the fund it wishes to run itself and which level of financial and insurance risk it wishes to have.
